I threw a "Send-Off" party for my daughter's grandparents. A "Going Away" party sounded sad and final and I thought this name sounded upbeat and fun. I wanted their "Send-Off" party to be happy, fun and light-hearted, so I decided on a Carnival as the theme. I have never hosted a Carnival themed party before, but had been tossing the idea around in my
mind for a while. As soon as we learned of their plans to move, I got right to work. The theme ended up being perfect!

An added bonus to all of my parties is having my daughter help me with all of the fun details! It is something her and I enjoy doing together. For this particular party, she helped me with the goody bags, games, balloons and even the appetizers!
I carried the Carnival theme over to the menu.
I had a phenomenal local bakery design custom sugar cookies.

Candy at a Carnival party is pretty much mandatory. Even if it’s only for aesthetics. The marshmallow candy peanuts added a festive touch.
My little one decorated the Twinkie Corndogs! She did a great job and had a blast.

I hope you have enjoyed my Carnival party pictures and hopefully got some inspiration for your next party. We already miss Grandma and Grandpa!
